Let's also do our bit to keep them safe by supporting campaigns for protective gear for doctors.Let's also make it a day to applaud the services of doctors who have dedicated their lives to care for the needy. Some doctors have set up hospitals in remote areas, several have brought innovative approaches to community healthcare and protection, many doctors waive their fees or subsidise them, some doctors set up fundraisers, some set up daily/ weekly/ monthly slots to treat people in remote areas or public health facilities. Pregnant women and mothers can call a toll-free number (1-800-212-1425) to reach obstetricians and pediatricians from Monday to Saturday. The V-OPD has 50+ volunteer obstetricians and gynecologists with 100 average daily inbound calls and a capacity to handle 250.
