Show your love for nurses and healthcare workers on Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday!

#EveryTuesday, we share an idea to show your kindness to the people or community around you! We believe your action will help spread generosity to make a better world!

“Wash your hands!”, said Florence Nightingale, many, many years ago.

It is British nurse Florence Nightingale's birthday! She is considered one of the founders of modern nursing. The Lady with the Lamp as she is famously known for her commitment to caring for wounded soldiers, was a tough pioneer whose principles on sanitation, hospital hygiene, good food, fresh air and exercise underpin nursing today as the world battles coronavirus. Born into a wealthy family, she fought her family’s opposition and social constraints to become the world’s most famous nurse. As we discuss about flatening the COVID19 curve, we cannot but remember that she was also a pioneer in data visualisation with the use of infographics, the Nightingale rose diagram, to represent statistical data.

On the bicentenary of the Lady with the Lamp, celebrated as #InternationalNursesDay, support the work of our nurses and healthcare workers.
